A sunny day deserves a nice outfit

Hey there!

These pictures were taken yesterday by my little brother. There was sun and it was warm enough to wear shorts. But we still live in Belgium so I matched my comfy shorts with a pair of new boots by Stills. My jewelry is a bit mixed. I know I combined gold and silver in one outfit but the thing is...

a. The silver ring is my boyfriend's. He gave it to me for our 6 months anniversary (which is like almost 3 years ago <3)

b. The Naked Brasco Triwa watch is also a gift from my bf. For my 18th birthday. We had to send it back 2 or 3 times but now it's finally on my wrist and working as hell to get me on time!

c. The long golden ring is a gift from my friend when she visited NY City. It's from Banana Republic and it's the best souvenir ever!

The shirt I'm wearing is from Brandy loves Melville in Rome and it was also one of the most amazing souvenirs I've ever recieved, thank you KT!

And last but not least my nails. They were done by my bf's sisters who does Gel Nails. She has some new stuff such as stamps and she tried the zebra print on me. I really love it! The three bracelets you see in the picture have a meaning.. but I'll tell you about that in the next post!

Comptoir des Cotonniers

I was just about to say how much I hated walking with high heels on pavers when I spotted these stickers on the window of the "Comptoir des Cotonniers" shop. So funny and I had to take a picture of course :) This one is shot in Rue Antoine Dansaert in Brussels.

River Island Xmas Collection

A new collection is up for the press to write about and thanks to Marie from Oona I get to see the collections before they're in stores. Marie know I'm in love with my Viper Baroq wedges and is trying to convince me to try out their clothes... But it turns out I'm a really big fan of their shoes and that seems to be the only thing I'm looking at. There are, on the other hand, a few garments I'd like in my closet... I've choosen my favourite ones again!

The theme of River Island's xmas collection is about the New Age. It contains of a lot of sequins, especially on the accessories, and a lot of technicolor, glow and flaming red. I really like 60's kind of collections and I would gladly dress up in a sixties girl for one evening!

But not all of the collection is in that style. There's also a lot of fur, suede, velvet and leather in it. The leopard print keeps being a trend and it replaces the leather skin of my shoes!

N°1: JakandJil: GETTING DRESSED WITH ANNA DELLO RUSSO FOR VOGUE PARIS BALL//

These pictures are just beyond gorgeous! We already know that this blog is one of the few that gets to hang out with Anna Dello Russo and gets to shoot backstage at almost every show. It is also one of the most passionate blogs I know, because they wait in the freezing but beautiful city of Paris to shoot shoes, outfits and people that come out of the shows. That's one of the reasons why I love this blog so much!

N°2: Leblogdebetty: Little blue boots

What I love about Betty is that she's always dressed up in amazing clothes, even when she's wearing a comfy outfit. I think this is one example. Boyfriend jeans with a loose jumper on top. I love both of those garments so much, but it seems that when I wear it... I'm like ridiculously dressed! But Betty pulls it off with the most beautiful blue booties! So for me, this outfit looks comfortable, cute and stylish! And in stead of heavy accessories such as bracelets or rings, she wears a flowery headband which immediately gives this outfit the girly look!

N°3: Afterdrk: I <3 YSL

If there's one designer I'm crazy about, it's Alexander Wang. Why? Because he's asian and his clothes are gorgeous! But this girl, Sabrina from Afterdrk, is messing with my mind! She combines A. Wang with YSL. Another god of design! The most simple, classy but sexy heels from his collection combined with grey, comfy and stylish pants. They're actually more leggings, which makes it tight to the body and sexier to the outfit. This outfit is great to just go out for a walk (even tough you're wearing platform heels) but also a nice outfit to go to a party! The clutch gives the final touch because of its bright color to the one tone colored outfit. The advantage of colors like black, white and grey is that you can combine it with everything and you can always take one flashy accessory with you!

Viper Baroq

The new loves in my shoe collection... Viper Baroq wedges from River Island. Also the first expensive purchase I've ever made. A new mile stone in my life! But most importantly: comfy wedges! The heel seems very high, but when you have a 'plateau' shoe, you can leave away the 'plateau' and the rest is the real length of your heel. So... I seem sky high, but I'm not really walking on sky high heels: PERFECT!
